.SO Launch - HUGE Success of 91% - Still in High Demand!

On April 1, 2011, ninety one percent (91%) of all our customer's pre-registrations were obtained by HEXONET's pre-registration system! Best of class systems and engineering combined with exceptional preparation is the secret to success and is why thousands of individuals/corporations place their pre-registrations with us.   Since launch, demand for .SO domains remains strong, especially from China where "SO" phonetically sounds like "To Search". Congratulations to the GMORegistry and CloudRegistry for a job well done.

EURid and .EU Domains

Reminder: .EU Multi-year Registrations Now Available

On April 7, 2011, EURid enabled multi-year registrations. Now register up to 10 years and reduce the hassle of renewing or possibly losing a valuable .EU domain.

.EU Transfers Process Change

Though the process of trading or transferring an .EU domain has NOT changed after the start of multi-year registrations, there is however an effect on the registration term when a trade or transfer is completed (for all new and existing .EU domains).

Formerly, the registration term was dropped and a new one year term was established from the date of trade or transfer. Now, trades or transfers result in an extra (one) year being added to the registration term, as long as the total length of the term does not exceed the maximum 10 years (if it exceeds 10 years, the original expiry date is left unchanged).

.EU Domains Expiration Registry Synchronization

On April 28, 2011, HEXONET will be aligning the expiration dates for all .EU domains in our system to the expiration dates at the EURid registry. EURid handles renewals as a bulk process and renews domains all at once on the last day of the month. This means that all domains registered in a given month will renew on the last day of the same month the following year(s) by EURid.
